    Just bought a 6 hp chrysler 62H9M 1755

    The motor run PERFECT looks like it has only been used a handful of times original paint and the handle has no wear on it at all I got it for $100... Thats not what I am getting at though... the number on it is 62H9M 1755 ...cant figure out the year of it and was hoping somebody could help...

    1957 18hp johnson seahorse

    Put new coils,impellar,spark plugs and cleaned out carb... It starts out of water (only long enough to start and I turned it off) but soon as I put it in water it doesn't want to start, Would anybody know why? Also the top needle on the carb seems to be stripped and all it does is spins doesn't...

    Just got a 1957 18hp johnson seahorse

    I just bought a 16 ft john has a 1957 18hp johnson seahorse. They guy says it runs but it is hard to start. I am going to put new J6C spark plugs on it and clean the carb. If that doesn't help I will need some more suggestions which I think one problem could be the ingnition coils going bad.
