    I posted a question yesterday about this silent 6 starting and stalling problems, and was told to check compression and spark, also checked fuel, but it seems like it is getting to much fuel almost like the timing is off, Is there such a adjustment for this model, and how do I get the magneto...

    55 mercury mark 6 starting & stalling problems

    I have a 1955 mercury mark 6 I can't seem to keep running. It won't idle at all and the only time it does run, is when it is at full throttle but stalls after about a min. or two. Changed the primer bulb out but still does not change. What would cause this?
