finally, got my boat on water today. it starts up fine, idles great the only problem is when i put it in gear to go foward it wants to run rough and wants to die on me. will not let me give it barley any throttle. but will start right back up... could this be a timing issue for the engine to to...
i just bought new teleflex gauges and was wondering how to hook then up,looked in the engine manual and does not say anything about hooking gauges up...

i have a johnson 150 and will not idle i have replace fuel lines rebuilt carbs.
i will pump the bulb and it will fun for a sec and rev real high then just shut off it will suck all the gas out of the filter then i will have to pump it again
I need to figure out the truth every ones answers are differnt, i have a johnson 150 vro delete and did a compression check on it and they were all at 80 psi is that too low of compression.

I just recently bought a 86 johnson 150, i finally got it started and it idles rough, when i give it gas it shuts off and then it takes a while to start back up, already change spark plugs and coil pack, i was wondering if rebuilding the carbs would help

i have a 85 150 johnson it has a oil injection system that came with it and i was wondering if it would be easier to mix the oil with the gas and elimate the oil system thanks :confused:
