Hello, trying to help a buddy get his boat back on the water. It's a 89 Bluewater with an Alpha Gen1 that has a hole in it. I found a drive online, seller doesnt know much about it except its from a 470. Will this bolt up and are the input shafts, yoke same length? Thanks in advance!
Hello all. Working on a Alpha 1 gen 2. Did an impeller yesterday (3rd time) went quick. When I was filling the drive it felt like it was building pressure as the fluid reached the top screw. Popped the screw in and kept pumping, it built so much pressure I couldnt hold the fitting in the bottom...

I have a Bayliner 2452, partial closed cooling, Mercruiser 5.7, aplha1 gen 2. I don't think any of that info matters though. I bought this boat last year with no coolant expansion tank. I am about to install one. Does it matter if it's mounted above or below the heat exchanger? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I bought this boat about a month and a half ago. It's a 1996 Bayliner 2452, 5.7 Mercruiser with Alpha 1 gen II drive with a partial closed cooling system, manifolds are raw water cooled. This boat has seen mostly salt water use.
