Can someone please tell me how much of a gap is suppose to be between the prop and lower unit.. Mine has about 1/2 and I believe my boat is cavitating on the hole shot.. I just replaced the lower unit and I don't remember having this big of a gap before. It looks like the lower unit is threaded...
I have a stratos with a 2000 Evinrude 200HP on it.. I changed the lower unit out and put the prop on and there is a large gap ( 5/16 to 1/2) between the prop and the lower unit housing.. It seems like my boat is cavitating on hole shot and I have to feather my throttle to get it to catch back...
I have two wires 12 or 14 gauge one red one green going to battery. Can anyone tell me what the go to and are they red hot and green neutral?? 2000 Stratos 19SS.
I have a 2000 Stratos 19SS that has hydraulic steering. I need to add some fluid because I can tell it has a lot of slack in it. I just don't know how. There are two small quick connect couplings on the motor end of the system, is this where you add it and then how do you bleed off the air??

I just bought a 2000 Stratos 19SS and the starting battery drains down. Anyone have any ideas what may be pulling it down?? I turn the key switch off and a main accessory switch off but am I missing something else?
