    Johnson 48 need water pump parts cant find parts for 1980model in any listings

    does anyone know where i can find parts list for the 1980 model johnson 48 in particular water pump parts and kits. As far as I know my model number coincides with the J48hp released in Australia the model number is J48celcss so far all I can find are parts lists for the 87-89 models. cheers Jason1

    1980 johnson 48 cooling problem

    Can anyone help ? I tried to remove the bottom leg to access the water pump by removing the 4 bolts and a centre bolt but the leg only dropped an inch or so. When I tried to wriggle the bottom leg off it appeared to still be conected by a small shaft running all the way up to the gear linkages...
