    Bench Test Amplifier

    I have a 1971 Johnson V4 100HP that I suspect the amplifier (powerpack) is bad. Is there any way to bench test this unit to find fault? I do not have the S80 or M80 test unit.<br />Jerry<br />Thanks Guys!!

    What the heck is a S80 or M80 tester (required to test amplifier on 71 Johnson V4100hp) and is there a substitute I can use to test amp?

    No Spark - 71 Johnson V4 100HP

    Tried to fire up and discovered no spark at any of the four plugs....looking for test to determine if coil or powerpack (amplifier) is the problem. Any other thoughts or suggestions is always appreciated.<br />Thank you for your help!<br />Jerry

    Starts cold - does not run/or start when warm
