    Tohatsu 9.8 compression

    I have a 2010 Tohatsu MFS9.8A3EPTS outboard. The factory service manual says the compression should be 128 psi. The dealer checked and the compression was 95 psi on both cyllinders. Is that to low? He called the factory and they said that was good. I think it's to low, is it ?

    need prop for a little more speed

    Tohatsu 9.8 low rpm

    I have a 2010 Tohatsu MFS9.8A3EPTS. The rpm at wot will only go to 3000 rpm. The carberator was just rebuilt and all gas lines were flushed out. Motor starts and runs smooth, but will not go over 3000 rpm. The dealer is the one who rebuilt the carbs and flushed the fuel lines. he said every...

    Tohatsu 9.8 won't stay running

    I have a 2010 Tohatsu MFS9.8A3EPTS outboard. When I lift the neutral warm up lever the motor will fire up and run. When I lower the netural warm up lever it cuts right off.I let it warm up for 10 minutes and it still cuts off when you lower the lever.
