    Pulling flywheel on 1971 40HP evinrude outboard motor

    Thanks for the response SOLittle. I do have a puller. It reaches on the outside of the flywheel and pushes against the center shaft of the engine. Will that work to pull the flywheel off or do I have to get one to mount to those 3 small screws that are for the pull starter?

    Can someone tell me how to pull the flywheel off of this engine without breaking it?
