    Engine hard to start

    Bad Coils???

    I have a johnson 200, model no. J200STLCCM . Been having problems for a while , thought it to be the power pack. It would start fine but while the boat was opened up it would surge. Bought a new power pack and replaced. Took it out for a try. Ran great that mourning put as the day warmed it...

    ??? on testing my coils

    I have a 1988 200 Johnson , Model # j200STLCCM. Tryin to test my coils guys. Wondering if that could be done with a OHM meter for better accuracy, and what that precedure would be. Just replaced my power pack and want to be on the safe side.

    Electrical Problem?

    I have a 88 Johnson 200. Started having problems with it shutting down. Thought it was carb problem, had them cleaned. Still a problem, thought maybe a brooke reed, found nothing. Moter in neutral runs great, takes throttle, but when I engage in gear and load it up its like you turn the key off.
