    1985 4.3 OMC has bad trouble.     Interruptor switches

    I got a 1987 renken 4.3l, the interruptor circuit id not working looks like the switch is damaged. checked into getting a new harness with switches and plug, but the are close to 300.00. can i just cut the switches off and put new ones on with out getting the whole harness?

    firing troubles

    I have a 1987 4.3L OMC motor in my boat. It will not crank, it turns over but will not fire. After some checking I noticed there was no fire going through my coil to the distributor, it has electronic ignition. The coil appears to have an oily residue on the outside. Can anyone help me? :mad:
