    Engine Stalls at low RPM underway

    Had my boat for almost 2 years now. It runs well but has had an issue on the water since I got it. I can drive around at WOT no problem, troll around anywhere above 1200 RPM. If i set it anywhere below 1200 it will die, sometimes in a few minutes, sometimes immediately. This becomes an issue...

    I purchased a boat with an old mercury mark 6. It was missing the pull cable. I replaced it and got it started. I noticed it wasn't pumping water out the 4 holes half way up the shaft, so I started to investigate. Is the open hole in this picture the drain plug for the oil in the lower unit...
