I have 1984 Chaparral 198 with a 228 Mercruiser. Am trying to remove the starter. Have removed two 9/16 bolts and the bracket. The starter will move (swivel a bit) but won't come out. There is one other 9/16 bolt on the bottom of the starter that I cannot remove. Should this third bolt come...
I have a Mercruiser 228 and recently when I start it, the cranking continues once the engine starts. I have to remove the battery cable to stop it. I replace the ignition but that did not help. Any suggestions? Help and thanks.<br /><br />JOHN
