    1970 25 hp gearcase reseal ?

    acording to my service manual you can't change the seal in the head assy.is this true and if so how can I tell if the old one is alright? also do I have to buy new bushing for the shiftrod, or can I just install new o-ring? thanks john

    1970 gearcase reseal

    I'm installing a reseal kit in my 1979 25 hp evinrude. in my service book it refers to using perfect seal #4 and sealer1000. I don't have either, what can I use that I can buy at parts store? THANKS FOR ANY HELP. John

    transducer on alum. boat

    I have a sea nypth fm146.and i'm installing a transducer and drilling holes thur the alum. do I use 5200 ? it says for wood or fiberglass but says nothing about alum. Thanks

    waterpump housing cracked

    I have a 1970 even. 25 hp. would a cracked waterpump housing cause water to get in the gearcase? thanks John

    outboard mounting ?

    I have 1970 even. 25 hp. on a seanymph 146. the cavitation plate sets 2 inch's below the bottom of boat. would I get better performance if I raise the motor 2 inch's? it seems I sould get better performance with me and another person on board. thanks

    hi just put my outboard in the barrel to check if water pump is working ok. waterpump seems to be working fine but noticed water shooting out of two small holes in bottom front of leg. is this normal?

    I just was giving a 1973 25 hp evinrude for a parts motor, the prop is marked michigan pj 19. I can't find that no. know where. is this a 9 pitch prop?

    hydorfoils

    I've seen some hydrofoils look like whale tails and some I've seen are just a square piece of alum. do they pretty much work the same way? thanks

    Hi, I have a fm146 sea nympt with a 1970 25 hp Evenrude. it gets up on plane all right if I put all the gear up front. I was wondering if a hydrofoil would help. thanks.

    1974 merc 200 20 hp gearoil change

    I just got a 74 merc. 20 hp and I'm changing lower unit oil. it has the lower drain plug but the upper plug says flush not vent.there is a small screw about a inch back from flush plug is that the vent? and what is the flush for? thanks much John

    I have a 1974 mercury 20 hp with a 2 blade prop. what is the advanage of a 3 blade prop? thanks John
