I have an Evinrude 130 hp outboard motor on my pontoon boat and can not seem to get to the bottom of the problem. Originally the motor overheated and we were told the water pump needed to be replaced. We did that and then we would be out on the water and all of sudden it would lose power...
Just had a new water pump and spark plugs put in, now the engine is surging when you go across the water. Had a tough time starting it last night after we ran it for about 5 minutes. Seems to be smoking more than usual and running a bit rough in the no-wake zones. Any ideas?
