    97 maxum boat...86 gas tank!

    Just bought a 97 maxum 2 days ago. i was cleaning her up today and noticed the tank (plastic) has a sticker on it. So, I wipe the sticker to get a better look. The sticker says (among other things) "date of manufacture 9/24/86". how is it I have a 97 boat with an 86 tank!?! IT HAS NOT BEEN...

    Another question before sea trial today.

    1997 Maxum 1900SR. When I opened the ski locker, I notice the smell of gas. Didn't ask (I will today)...but would this be normal?

    Need help on a part #

    This is in reference to the boat I previously posted about that has been sitting 2 years in a garage. I got some maintainence records from the owner. In 3/09 he had part # "57-60065" replaced....the part was $204.99. The invoice only shows the part #. I asked him about it, and he doesn't...

    3.0 liter Mercury LX that has sat in a garage for 2 years

    Looking at a verry clean 1997 19 foot Maxum. The boat has been sitting in an 83 year old man's garage (winterized) since 2/09. He, and dealer (dealer is selling on consignment) swear that it is in tip-top shape. Has 157 hours on it. I am going on a sea trial Saturday. Is there anything that...
