    Location of the fuel separator Merc I\O 470

    I have another dumb question. I have been told this boat should have a fuel separator on it. It is a 1982 Mercruiser 470 I\O. Can anyone tell me what it looks like and where it is located? Also, I had asked this before, I have the fuel filter out, when the engine cranks should'nt fuel come out...

    Question about mercruiser fuel pump

    I just recently bought a 1982 glastron with a mercruiser 470 in it. Don't really know much about boats but was told it was winterized. I put fresh fuel in it and took it out on Saturday. Ran great for about 15 minutes then started to surg and die. Would start up and run at idle and then backfire...
