i was just wondering if my motor i bought needs a thermostat to idle correctly. it idles a little rough and constantly shoots water out the ports under the powerhead from start up. i was told it needs a thermostat to idle correct ? any thoughts on it ?:confused:
i have a 1988 force C the motor dont seem to idle right so i cleaned carb and replace float needle and idle screw didnt help any so i used my dva meter and im thimking the stator is bad it should read 300v but it jumps to almost 300v the back to 250v and stays could someone tell me if this is...
i rebuild the carb and fuel pump clean recirc system and replaced head gasket. checked reed plates but the only way it will idle good is if air screw is turned all the way in ? and suggestion will be appreciated thanks.
