    Is A I a totally unreliable function ?

In my experience the AI answers that pop up to Google searches (don't know how to turn them off) are maybe 50/50 in being correct. It's not something I'd be willing to count on.

I spent the last 24 years driving at 29.25 miles per hour

It would be nice to keep a truck that long. My '22 has 74,000 on it already.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I love the electronic emergency brake. I can't for the life of me remember to release an E-brake so I always end up burning them up. The electric on auto releases when you hit the gas. Brilliant! Otherwise I don't like or need any of the new stuff. I order new trucks with vinyl floors and seats...

should more water be coming out of prop

You can run it like that forever. It's fine.

How would you answer this question?

Sounds like a good fit to me. My kids have enjoyed our boarders from the time they were 1 year old. If he's had a 27' then 29' is no problem. I'm in a 23' and the next will be 26'. That boat is fine for wakeboarding, especially if it has a tower. It's wake SURFING that you need the inboard or...

Learning to wake board at 48. What am I doing wrong?

Actually I don't have a tower. I'm towing from the ski tow eye on the transom. It's probably about 2 feet off the water. I know it's not ideal but it's what I have. If I can get the hang of it and my boys do too I'd consider putting a tower on the boat.

Engine wouldn't fire without throttle after overnight

My 2004 Merc 350 Mag has always just started with a turn of the key, as it should. I've owned it for 8 seasons and never done anything to start it other than twist the key; it cranks and fires. This weekend after running the boat for a few hours I tied it to the dock and left it overnight. In...

Learning to wake board at 48. What am I doing wrong?

Well, as an update, I got into a standing position yesterday and rode for a few seconds. This was after numerous attempts. I crashed forward this time. Progress?

Learning to wake board at 48. What am I doing wrong?

So I don't have a trainer and it's my wife driving the boat. I'm 6' tall and 190 pounds so I don't think I'm really over weight. I kneeboard regularly. I can pop right up on the kneeboard and jump across the wake on it no problem. Maybe I need to lean forward more somehow. Or, maybe I need to...

Learning to wake board at 48. What am I doing wrong?

So at 48 years of age I'm trying to learn to wake board. I can get up in a crouched position and sometimes stand up briefly. The same thing always happens: The board goes faster than I do and ends up in front of me and I fall backward into the water on my butt. What am I doing wrong? I've heard...

    Gas/water separator filter

I change mine every year with a NAPA. I do it in the fall when I winterize. If there is water in there I don't want it freezing.

Options to repower a 33' Larson

I'd never consider less than a 350 Mag and a B3 x2. Anything less will be horribly underpowered.

    Required Safety Course

I have a VA boat license. I've operated my boat in 7 states. I remember looking it up many years ago and I was good with the VA license. I was just visiting of course with a VA registered boat. Being a resident might be different.

Setting up for House Battery -> looking for feedback on loads

I have always just had 2 dual purpose batteries and a switch. All loads on one or the other. I use 1 battery 1 day and the other battery the next. If 1 dies I can switch to the other but I've never needed too. We just boat on lakes as well and mostly just daytime. I see no reason for a...

    Replacement gauges for a 2003 Crownline 230BR

Gauges are generic. No need for OEM unless you're just replacing one and need a match. A gauge set is probably cheaper than individual ones. They are all 4"or 2". Wiring is fairly universal. VDO, Faria, etc.
