Does anyone happen to know how mercury DTS operates when you accidentally miss the neutral position and put directly from forward to reverse at high RPM?
Does it wait until the RPM decreases or does it just try to engage and destroy the gear hub.

I ordered quicksilver shift shaft bushinkg kit 23-806036A-1. I only got one seal? is it right? I think I have seen two in pictures. And how about the installation of the seal(s): Which side goes up against bushing? the "open" or "closed" side?
