I have been told to wind out the screw 1 1/2 turns to set the mixture with a warm motor. It seems to run better at 2 1/2 turns out - what does this mean? Occassionally the motor dies when going from idle to WOT. The carby has been cleaned twice and other options looked at - could there still...
1999 Merc 15 hp. Are these gaskets designed to leak water from the water cooling chambers into the exhaust manifold and how much?? If it is too much (faulty gasket)could water be returned to the carby via the crankcase breathers and cause power loss at WOT?
Carburettor was serviced due to residue fouling - since then starts and idles well but dies when throtte opened. Can get max. rev's by pulling choke out once then full throttle. Doesn't appear to be a fuel line problem, the local dealer doesn't have much of an idea!
