Well, our local Alumacraft dealer's mechanic suggested it could be buried under the foam too by the manufacturer. My thinking is ANY manufacturer that would try something like that on a serviceable part would get shamed out of business in their first year. Just sayin'.
So we had given up and...
We tried that yesterday. Removed the panel covering the corner where the discharge is and the hose just disappears behind a mountain of styrofoam. Removed a chair mounting base in that corner too and nothing but foam. Gonna call Alumacraft today to see if they can tell us where it is supposed...
