    Engine will not accellerate, only idle's

    I have a 1983 35 hp Evinrude. When i turn on the engine, it idle's fine, my problem begins when i try to accellerate, the engine dies out. I am almost stumped, I replaced the carb, confirmed that the fuel pump was getting fuel, checked to make sure the spark plugs were working, checked...
