    Problem with vacuum

    2003 90 HP 4 stroke OB Mercury. Motor runs fine on earmuffs with vacuum line disconnected at T near a check valve. Once I hook this back up, it's very hard to start, idles rough and I get gas in my crank. Any help with this please?

Checked some vacuum lines and mistakenly pulled one out that goes behind the carbs (really hard to get to). On this vacuum line there's a kind of check valve where you can blow through...

    Can a bad rectifier cause throttle load problems?

    2003 90 HP Mercury OB. Can a bad rectifier cause a motor to bog, sputter at mid to higher throttle?
