Dang it. I should have put the steering cable back onto the outboard when it was hanging in the air before I secured it to the transom. Now there is not enough room to feed it through. Anything I can do besides pulling the motor?
I've got a 1966 Dart that looked like yours when I got it. I made it into a sweet fishing boat. Nice little boat. I have a 25hp 4stroke on it that suits it well, motor's a bit heavy but with that triple transom knee brace it does fine.
I believe you have a 1969 or 1970 Offshore. I have a 1971 and the bow rails are slightly different and has a different plastic "starcraft" logo on the side. It's pretty much the same as the 18' SuperSport that came out in 1972
Made a bit more progress. I want to use the PVC conduit for some wire. I also want to put my steering cable and or throttle cable in behind the wood side panel. Is it worth trying or should I just run everything up in the gunnel?
Howdy folks ! Been a busy summer for me and have finally got around to some progress on project "Prize Catch". Painted the gunnels. Installed the transom. Got a big tube of the 3m5200, that should do it eh? Getting the deck finished so I can start actually putting everything back into place...
So I did manage to get the deck installed. I used large flange rivets to attach to the stringers all around edges and screws everywhere else. Also doubled the 5/8 ply for under the seats and the seams where the plywood lines up. As well I sandwiched some leftover aluminum between the plywood...
