I have a 18ft 04 Seapro with a 115 Yamaha 4stroke..Can someone tell me where the vst filter is and how ofter it should be changed or cleaned?

The motor is 5 years old, im the only owner..It all of a sudden started acting like it had water in the gas. I changed the water separate filter along with the in-line small filter. The same thing happen again but the in-line filter ring did not rise so i guess that tells me no water. I emptied...
