    OMC King Cobra 7.5 lower gearcase compatibility

    1988 7.5 L king cobra I have is serial# TO587092. I need lower gearcase assy. Found one with serial #TO698812. Will this one work?

    1988 Cruisers Inc with 7.5L Cobra combo.

    I saw other posts saying to stay away from the Cobra's, but most of those were mid 90's . Is this earlier one also a "Run far, far, away " outdrive ?
