    omc 140 looper cooling

    HI,I am running a 1985 140 johnson in the tank under load. cylinders 2 3 4 are running about 125 degrees. cylinder 1 is running 185.Overheat alarm is not going off,there is good flow from indicator tube.The themostat looks good. Any thoughts? THANKS IN ADVANCE LARGEY

    Have any of you techs had any experience with an international dyno? This is a hydraulic unit not a water brake like land and sea.I am looking for a used unit and not sure about which of the two kinds I want.THANK YOU :eek:

    140 looper

    HI My freind has a 1985 johnson 140 outboard.It has been a good motor until it srarted to run bad,missing ect.He pulled the cover off the motor while it was running and told me there was water coming from the front of the motor.He tried to make it in to shore but the motor really made noise then...

    85hp evinrude power pack

    I have burned out two packs in as many years. Both times it was #1 cyl. This time i replaced the coil as well.All the coils were original.Could the coil have hurt the pack, or should i look for another problem(stator trigger)? THANKS

    HI Everyone,I have a 1977 evinrude 85hp motor that has burned out two packs in as many years.It just dropped spark in one cyl both times.I do not know if they where the same cyl. both times.The motor has even comp. in all cyls,around 120 and runs good .The packs are after market(seirra) THANKS...

    1993 evinrude ocean pro 150

    HI I have a chance to purchase this ocean pro 150 1993 for a good price.It has low commpression in one cyl.The head has been removed and there is some light scoring.I think it will be an easy rebuild.Is this aood engine to sink some money into?
