hi out there. i am a first time asker. i have a 1978 omc 800 stringer with several problems. right now i am replacing the tilt motor and can't seem to get the hammer blow coupling inserted correctly. is there a trick to this? the coupler spring is ok but i can't seem to find a way to line...

i have a 1978 omc 800 stern drive shift problem. the unit was not able to shift into reverse gear.
afetr isolating the problem to the lower gear unit, i have removed the stern drive and separated the upper and lower gear cases.
my problem is that the shift rod will not come out of...
