    ok. Thank you Faztbullet. I am just a little leery knowing that my 15 Minute fresh synthetic oil dumped out within 30 seconds. Any u tube vids with the same engine did not do this or even mention it in the videos showing the lower unit removed and replaced, with no issues.

    I suppose anything is possible at this point. The Lower unit was off and I had pulled the Shift shaft down approx 3/4 " and all the oil suddenly dumped onto the garage floor.

    Any idea if this is a seal and I can just pop it back together ? It doesn't look like anyone else has had this issue.

    I did all of the above to try and get it into reverse . When I bolted the bottom end on, there was a slight click and the bottom end slid right on. Anyways, when I still had the bottom end off, I pulled on the shift rod and it came out approx 1/2 inch and suddenly I noticed engine oil pouring...
