I took out the 4 bolts holding the lower part of the unit on. Is there something else I need to do to get it to drop down. I didn't want to force it without knowing.
Mercruiser outdrive makes a clicking noise when you put it in gear (both forward & reverse). If you put it in forward and watch the prop it clicks and the prop moves slowly. Then it will all the sudden catch and work great. Same in reverse. Now with the engine off and the boat in forward gear...
