    won't run up to speed

    have a 60hp johnson, 85'. Idles fine, runs smooth in gear but will not run up to speed. Can speed it up in idle with throttle runs great. Put it in gear and it runs smooth, but not fast enough. Checked compresion OK, carbs rebuilt and clean, not sure what to do now? Any suggestions would be...

    new fuel pump, won't idle

    I put on a new fuel pump on my johnson 60hp, 85'. I took off the old one with vro and put fuel only pump on. It will run great at high speed, but will not run for any time at low speed. Acts like it is not getting enough gas. Any suggestions?

    fuel pump switch

    I have a johnson 60hp, 1985. Is it possible to change the fuel pump from a vro to w/o. The oil pump has not worked in 12 years. If it is possible to switch, what modifications, etc. needs to be done.

    stalls when put in gear

    have a 1986 johnson 60hp outboard. Idles fine but when put in gear it stalls. If I choke it or get it running fast enough before put in gear it will take off, but it usually stalls when put in gear. Cleaned carbs, new gas lines, tank, etc. Could it be fuel pump.
