    Can i do myself ? 72 115 Merc

    I need to adjust throttle cable. Shop wants $ 170.00 . Dont have manual, can i do myself ? Also they want $ 85.00 to check ignigion system and if it's a power pack, they want $ 300.00. Problem ? No spark from coil, am no good with checking electrical. Thanks Again RenoMark

    72 Merc 115, Coil or Power pack ?

    I pulled the coil wire out from the distrubitor cap and held it near metal, no spark. One guy said power pack, but it could allso be coil. When my wife turned the engine to check spark, i removed all plug wires before. Did i check it right ? Allso, what does one check when one pulls the coil...

    What should compression be for this engine and why does gas come out of # 1 carb, the carb on top when gas buld is primed ? Thanks

    Hi all, i have a 72 merc 115 hp that friend says all is working cept the spring thing around distrubutor cap. Says it constantly lets gas in ? Problem ? It goes for awhile, like 30 seconds, then dies due to gas stops getting to carbs. Do i need a new spring thing ? Also what is the gas oil mix ...
