    3.0 merc, i/ o runs rough at cold start.

    I had received advice to check choke adjustment, which I tried different settings. Motor shakes until warm. I installed new cap,rotor,plugs,fuel filter,adjusted mixture, to no avail!,I have not checked timing yet. I have an EST ignition system. Could it also be a bad float?? or maybe the timing??

    3.0 mercruiser 1992,Runs rough at start up?

    I have a 1992 chapparral 1800sl limited with a 3.0 mercruiser I/O. The engine only has approx. 100 hours on it since new. When I start engine it runs very rough and shakes alot, as it warms up, it begins to smooth out and rpm's increase. Could this be a choke adjustment problem? or in need of a...
