i just got a 93 225, removed the lower unit to replace water pump and the input shaft is loose where it fits thru the seal and bearing housing, it will move around 1/16 ths of an inch back and forth at the bottom and 3/8" at the top , i know this is a two part shaft and i would expect a little...
