I bought this engine four years ago. Former owner had painted trim tab. As it is used in SW, I removed the paint. After @100 hours use the trim tab shows no corrosion, but the square zink shows a lot of corrosion. Paint is bubbling in a couple of spots on lower unit. Could this be electrolysis...
Tach stopped working. Suspect rectifier. Had it in the shop for another job and asked mechanic. He said charging ok and as I plan to repower in a couple of years he suggested I live with it.
