    I hope I don't have to cuz it's a booger to get to... the starter is brand new I put in at the end of last season so it has not had time to get dirty per se. Basically have to install it one handed while trying to get one bolt to start threading while hanging upside down in engine bay. LOL

    Lower Unit Gear Oil Change while on lift

    The outdrive would not be close to the water as my lift gets it as high as 4 feet from water level... I would pull boat if it were easier for me to pull the boat out... our place is not close to a launch so I would have to take my trailer to a launch that is 20 minutes by road, then come back...

    4.3 GXI Pressure Test

    Thank you... my boat is at the lake so I don't have access to see the size of the hoses I need to plug. I assume 1 inch and 2 inch? How would I plug one with schrader valve and pressure gauge? Trying to get what I need without making trips to store after traveling to lake.

    I just pulled my manual again and it says suitable SAE viscosity oils in temps that won’t get below 32 degrees are SAE 30, SAE 20W/50, SAE 15W/50. So I should be fine with 15W/50.

    Problem is you can’t find 0W-20 anywhere and if you grab it online it’s super expensive. I don’t disagree with you but I know many run other that what’s recommended in their engines. Just curious what others use.

    I have a 2004 Four Winns with a Volvo Penta 4.3 GXI I live in Alabama and was curious as to what would be acceptable oil besides the 0W 20 recommended by owners manual? Is Mobil 1 15W-50 full synthetic a good choice?
