I have a 1994 Mariah Talari with a 5.7L merc with thunderbolt IV ignition. The engine doesn't see to have enough power under load to put the boat on plane. I have done the following:
Change the distributor cap and rotor button.
Fuel Filter Change
Checked timing it was 8deg BTDC
Checked...
Hoping someone can shed some light on my issue. I have a 5.7L merc with thunderbolt IV igition. When running at idle the voltmeter reads 13V except when a give it a shot of fuel in neutral. The voltmeter drops to 11V. Is this normal?
I have a 1994 210 talari. 5.7L merc thunderbolt ignition IV. Wondering if anyone would have some advice for me. When taking off from a stop going up on plane the motor struggles for power. The throttle is wide open but only reaches about 2800rpm. Once up a plane power seems to be fine.
