    Charging light circuit wiring.

    My inboard engine is a Ford Marinised V6 Essex pertol, several wires loose on dash panel, the small light which should show if engine is charging needs connecting, where should it be wired to? engine has altenator, Many thanks Lurcher.:confused:

    OMC Tachometer

    Can anyone please tell me if my OMC Tacho will operate on a petrol marinised V6 Ford engine the Tacho can be switched and is marked on rear with 1 to 6 pulses per rev! would it get the signal from Distributor? Many thanks Lurcher:)

    Use of OMC Tacho on petrol engine?

    I have a nice working genuine OMC Tacho which I use on my Evinrude 40hp, it has positions on back to select number of cylinders on engine, however I now own an inboard engine which is a Ford V6 petrol and wonder if the Tacho would read? thanks JBD:confused:

    Evinrude 40hp BE40ELCR

    My engine has 11/3/4 by 17, it puts my 14ft speedboat on plane in seconds but runs out about 32mph on GPS, would a change of pitch help top speed or leave alone? Lurcher.
