    Mercruiser 3.0 idles at 1000rpm and appears to have a stuck choke?

    Had a bad stall out on the lake today. Boat is now idling at 1000rpm and looks like the choke is stuck open? Picture attached. I am trying to move it by hand and its STUCK!

    Wire on fuel pump cup screw...

    Mercruiser 3.0 engine... Necessary to put the little piece of wire back on the screw at the bottom of the cup when replacing the fuel filter?
