have been running this motor since last summer and it has always driped from the (telltail?) the small hole on the right top(black grommlet). and would spray water and mist out of the double holes in the center. Recently it stoped moving water all together.

the motors look exactly the same other then paint.
1) how can the johnson push out 50% more power with the same "block"?

Finaly made some progress today. I got the wires sorted out, the foam laid in the hull, i used the pink sheets as you can see. I used spray foam as glue to hold all the little pieces together. Once i screw the deck down it should be nice and tight, i hope it doesnt...
Good friend of mine just pulled up with a 15 horse. We have no idea what year. It started up ok with the starter fluid the PO sprayed in it just before my buddy bought it. but the gas in the tank was from last year, i insistted my buddy ditch the gas and start with fresh. Problem is we dont know...

i finally got the boat painted!! i bought a HF spraygun and thin the paint about 20%. It came out pretty nice.
I got a real nice piece of plywood at a local distributor, 5x12 3/4 9 ply Ext.
cut and epoxyed.

I cleaned up the hull alittle better and found a few holes. they are pretty small. what can i do about it? fill it with jb?, drill out and install a rivet?
