    I re-wired the ground and nothing has changed.

    Yeah. It was the exact same wire harness so I just unplugged the old and plugged in the new.

    So could I just connect a ground from the battery to the ground coming out of the stereo wire harness or would I need to do something more?

    I just recently purchased this boat and installed new speakers as well as a new Bluetooth stereo deck. The connections were all the same as previously on the boat. If I drive my boat I have zero issues at all but if I ever turn my radio on either the boat will show that the temperature is going...
