I need to check my drive unit oil on a alpha one outdrive. The manual says to unscrew The vent screw and if oil comes out then your ok. The only way I can check this is to tilt the out drive up to get to the screw, will this give me the right read on the oil if the drive is tilted, and also is...
I have a 1988 5.0 mercruiser alpha one --the throttle is very hard to push --the manual says there is a screw to adjust but i do not see a screw --this must be a different throttle,possibly changed over the years before I boughtbthe boat any Ideas? Thanks
