    to shim or not to shim?

    I'm replacing the gearset in my '86 omc upper. I'm not sure how to do it and I understand they need to be shimmed and stuff. Is this something I can do myself or would I be better off just paying a mechanic to do it? And if so, any idea how much they'd charge?<br /><br />Thanks

    help with re-upholstering seats

    I've got an '86 23' marlin that I'm re-upholstering. I've been able to find marine grade vinyl for $12 a yard and am wondering what to do about the padding for the seats. Does it take a special foam or just regular yellow 4 inch stuff? Also anybody know where I can get the best deal on stuff...

    interchangable sterndrives?
