I am looking for an original replacement for my Tach gauge. I was hoping to locate the original equipment. Is it possible to locate one? It is a 350 engine and an Volvo/Penta outdrive in the boat.
Any idea what the problem might be? Shifting into forward is fine but when I shift into reverse it is difficult and when I do shift it there is a loud clunking sound. It also appears that water might be boiling up from the outdrive when in reverse.
Any ideas?
I have a 260A engine in a 2550 Ciera. Engine number CU47996. When I run the boat at high speed it runs great for about 3 or 4 minutes. Then it starts to backfire and bogs down, losing speed.
I changed both fuel filters. Boat was tuned up in 2009 with new plugs.
Any hints as to what might...
