I want to change out the impeller on my 1973 Evinrude 6 hp outboard. I have removed the 4 bolts to drop the gearcase, but am not sure how to disconnect the shift linkage which I am assuming is what keeping it from coming on off. I don't want to break a fine little motor that runs like a sewing...
