    Why when I turn on my key my gas gauge goes to the left backwards instead of to the right to show how much fuel I got

    i have 97 Yamaha 150. my its a dial not analog tach works sometimes and sometimes it don't;along with my other gauges. its an old wiring diagram. what kind is my wiring harness called. I have no problems starting up and running the motor.
