    honda bf9.9 restrictor plate.

    Had my carb off my 2003 bf9.9 four stroke,and noticed the restrictor plate on the carb kinda looks like a old key hole.I know some motors dont like it when you open up the restrictor plates,and some do.Is this thing going to run ok if i drill out the plastic plate to match the carb and gaskets?

    2003 honda bf9.9d wont run without choke

    I bought this thing a couple of weeks ago.It had been sitting for 3 years,so i changed the oil,and cleaned the carb.The carb looked really good inside when i had it apart.I have to leave the choke out about 1/4" to keep it running,is this normal? Seems to run fine like that,and i can use the...

    I have twin 260hp 5.7,s in a 88 sea ray 270 that i want to replace with vortec long blocks.What parts can i use from the old engines ?

    5.7 rebuildable

    I have twin 260 hp 1988 5.7s that have not been run in awhile and one of them sat with a head off for awhile.With them not being blown up,and not knowing the history of the motors.Should i pull the motors and take them to a marine rebuilder?Or just buy long blocks.Having these engines rebuilt...
