I have an early 90's merc 9.9
It starts up and idles fine but when I go to open it up it will bog for a while then it will finallly catch its breath and start to go wide open. I havenever had this problem before. The plugs are new, I cleaned the carb at the beginning of the year.
Any ideas on...
I installed a new binnacle mount controll box with new cables. I have no sharp bends in the cables. the throttle moves fine until I get to half throttle, after that I amost have to use 2 hands to open it up all the way.
When I take the cables off the engine they move throught the full range...
I have a 1990 115hp merc
Currently has a 3 blade aluminum prop, I can't tell what size because the paint is covering it over.
The 17ft proline I have it on is turning 5600 at WOT and runs around 39-40mph on the speedo.
What size prop should this motor have and I thought the spec WOT rpm was...
I just had a 1990 115hp put on my boat. Brand new binnacle controll and cables. It is really stiff in both forward and reverse. When you disconnect the cables from the motor it free's up. Any idea on how to fix this? there does not seem to be any severe bends or kinks.
I just bought a 1990 115hp for my 17ft proline. I have been reading how this is a 2+2 motor. Is there any way to bypass this? If not where do my idle and WOT rpm's need to be and when do the other 2 cylinders kick in?
