    6amp statoer to a 12amp

    Need to replace my stator. It came stock with a 6amp. Was looking on another website and they list a 12 or a 6amp for my engine. All of the other ignition parts are the same part #'s. Can I upgrade to the 12 amp with out any troubles?

    fuel/water separator

    Is it common to have a separator on an outboard. I have been told that they do not work on outboards. I have had water get in my fuel twice now, causing major headaches. I was hoping this might help with this problem. Is it done? How is it done? Does anyone recommend a brand? thanks
